The princess turned ONE!
Ava Leigh is officially one year and one day old! So hard to believe. It's a happy moment and a sad moment all at the same time. It's hard to think that one year at this time we were holding our infant daughter in our arms. Time goes by so fast and I'm more than thankful that I've had the opportunity to see every "first" (AND get a picture of them!) ;) Ava had a wonderful birthday party last Saturday and she spent the day with everyone that loves her! She got a ton of gifts and loves all of them...thank you everyone! She loves presents but we also found out that little miss LOVES chocolate. I didn't let her try chocolate until the day of her birthday party because I wanted to keep the taste of it a surprise for her and I am so glad that I did because she thoroughly enjoyed it! We're not sure if she was so excited with all the toys or if it was the chocolate but she stayed up 3 hours past bedtime the night of her birthday party and wasn't cranky at all...it was a huge party for her! Yesterday was her official birthday and we celebrated by opening presents with daddy in the morning before he went to work and then taking a trip to Build A Bear where she got TWO animals...a rudolph and a birthday bear (thanks Auntie Mandi!) We got some lunch and then went and got her her very first pedicure and let me tell ya, our little princess LOVES being pampered because she sat there like SUCH a good girl and kept smiling. She got sparkley lotion all over her legs and feet, purple toenails, and a toe ring! Thank you Auntie Amber and Auntie Mandi for coming with us on her special day! When we got home, Ava ate dinner and then had ANOTHER chocolate smash cake (thanks Auntie Amber!) and she showed as much interest in chocolate the second time around, haha! Tonight we are out in the city having a sleepover with daddy. We decorated the Christmas tree, took a walk to the park, and are going to watch Rudolph tonight after bath time! Thanks again to everyone who came out for her birthday party and wished her a happy birthday, we really appreciate it! That's all for now. The princess says hello! xoxo
