Ava Leigh had her tongue tie surgery yesterday and thankfully everything went VERY smoothly. She was a show off for all the nurses and doctor (of course!) and was a very good baby while we were waiting for the procedure to begin. She was highly upset when she came to from the anesthesia but totally bounced back quick. We brought her home and she ate a hashbrown and a pancake, watched some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (her absolute favorite, our little Mooska!) and then took a long 2 hour nap. When she woke up you would swear that nothing ever happened to her! Mommy had quite the surprise today...2 teeth popped through today! She now has both bottom teeth and her top left tooth from before and today the other top tooth and one next to the bottom right tooth popped through. Pretty soon she's gonna have a beautiful smile full of teeth! We've noticed new sounds coming from her since the procedure ("R" sounds which we didn't hear before and she seems to be rambling on more). She is learning SO quickly about all of her surroundings. We look at a "Baby's 100 First Words" book every day and she seems to be picking up on a new word daily...today's word was fish! She's so smart and full of life-it's impossible not to enjoy every second of every day with her! Walking all over the place as well and today for the first time we saw more of a "jog" come from her. Give it a week and she's going to be running. We are anxiously awaiting her birthday party next weekend and we hope all of our family and friends can join us. That's all for now! Ava says thanks to anyone who is reading all about her!
P.S.....if you LOVE Ava's blog and want to keep coming back, post your e-mail address and I will send you an invite because once I start adding pictures and videos, the page will be on private!
